Mock polling stations to open
*
Justice Pang Kin-kee
Practice poll: Electoral Affairs Commission Chairman Justice Pang Kin-kee demonstrates the proper voting procedure.
*

Four mock polling stations will open November 15 to 17 to help voters familiarise themselves with voting procedures in the upcoming District Council Election.

The stations are in the Kowloon Park Sports Centre, Leighton Hill Community Hall, Tai Po Community Centre and Tuen Mun Town Hall and open from noon to 8pm. Registration & Electoral Office staff will brief visitors on how to vote.

Electoral Affairs Commission Chairman Justice Pang Kin-kee today reminded electors to follow proper procedures when they vote November 18. They should bring their identity card to their designated polling station where they will be given a stamp to tick the circle next to their chosen candidate's name. They should fold the ballot paper once to conceal the marking before putting it into the ballot box.

To protect the secrecy of votes, electors should not use mobile phones or pagers, take photographs or video inside polling stations.

For enquiries call 2891 1001. Complaints can be made on 2827 7251.
