The Chief Executive has appointed Shiu Sin-por, Cheung Kwok-che and Pun Tin-chi to the Commission on Strategic Development with effect from September 18 to June 30, 2007.

Mr Shiu will serve on the Executive Committee while Mr Cheung and Mr Pun will serve on the commission's Committee on Social Development and Quality of Life.

The addition of new members will enrich the discussions in the commission, especially on major issues relating to Hong Kong's long-term development, the Security Bureau said, adding their professional knowledge and extensive community service experience is greatly valued.
