$1m in aid set for Hunan flood victims
*

A $1 million grant from the Disaster Relief Fund has been approved for the Association of Chinese Evangelical Ministry to bring emergency relief to flood victims in Hunan Province.

This follows a disbursement of $2 million earlier this month for emergency relief to flood victims in Guizhou and Jiangxi Provinces. It takes the total value of grants for flood victims on the Mainland to $3 million.

To ensure the money is used for the designated purposes, the fund's advisory committee will ask the group to submit an evaluation report and audited accounts on the grant's use after the project has been completed.
