RTHK review under study
*
RTHK

The Director of Broadcasting's review of Radio Television Hong Kong's practices and probe into rule breaches is being scrutinised, Secretary for Commerce, Industry & Technology Joseph Wong says.

It deals with the responsibilities of officers who are suspected to be involved in the breaching of rules and regulations. It also touches on improvements to RTHK's systems, practices and procedures.

Mr Wong said an internal audit team has been commissioned to conduct systematic improvements, while responsibilities and disciplinary proceedings are being studied carefully. The Civil Service Bureau will be consulted if necessary before coming to a view.

The Legislative Council Public Accounts Committee will be informed of the final decision in September or October.
