Islands District Council post vacant
*
Home Affairs Department

The Director for Home Affairs will declare by notice in the Gazette tomorrow that the offices of Law Kam-fai, an Islands District Council ex-officio member and an elected Indigenous Inhabitant Representative of Shek Lau Po in the Tung Chung Rural Committee, have become vacant.

Law was disqualified from holding offices on May 29 as he was jailed two years on May 3 last year for his role in the illegal excavation of rocks from Tung Chung River.

A District Council ex-officio member and an elected indigenous inhabitant representative are disqualified from holding offices if they are convicted of an offence and jailed for more than three months.
