The Commerce, Industry & Technology Bureau will move to a five-day week from July 1 with extended weekday work hours.

The concerned departments are:  the Innovation & Technology Commission, Office of the Telecommunications Authority, Radio Television Hong Kong, Television & Entertainment Licensing Authority, Intellectual Property Department, Invest Hong Kong, and the Trade & Industry Department.

RTHK will continue its broadcasting and Internet services unchanged and the telecoms authority's 24-hour complaint hotline against radio frequency interference - 2389 8131 - will remain available seven days a week.

The public can also make use of other online or electronic means to access services these departments provide.

The bureau said it will monitor the public's reaction to the service delivery changes and review operations when necessary.
