The Innovation & Technology Commission has appointed Professor Lawrence Lau to the Steering Committee on Innovation & Technology, and reappointed all members for a two-year term.

Professor Lau is the Chinese University Vice-Chancellor and a distinguished economist. He is serving on the Commission on Strategic Development and the Board of Directors of the Science & Technology Parks Corporation.

Committee membership is: the Secretary for Commerce, Industry & Technology (Chairman); Professor Roland Chin; Joseph Lee; Andrew Leung; Victor Lo; Allan Wong; the Secretary for Education & Manpower; the Permanent Secretary for Commerce, Industry & Technology (Communications & Technology); the Commissioner for Innovation & Technology; Edward Cheng; Professor Paul Chu; Professor Lawrence Lau; Dr York Liao; and, Professor Tsui Lap-chee.
