Chan Chi-chiu
New appointment: Chan Chi-chiu has been named Director of Water Supplies to succeed William Ko.

Chan Chi-chiu has been named Director of Water Supplies, effective January 22, succeeding William Ko who will proceed on pre-retirement leave.

 

Secretary for the Civil Service Joseph Wong said Mr Chan has been working in the Water Supplies Department for more than 26 years with extensive experience in different fields of work. He has proven leadership and good management skills.

 

"I am confident he will be able to lead the Water Supplies Department to meet the challenges ahead and continuously enhance its services to the community," Mr Wong said.

 

Mr Chan, 51, joined the Government in August, 1979, as an Assistant Engineer. He was promoted to Chief Engineer in November, 1994, to Assistant Director of Water Supplies in July, 1999, and to Deputy Director of Water Supplies in May, 2004.
