273 people to receive awards
*

The Chief Executive has accorded awards to 273 people in this year's Honours List, including two Grand Bauhinia Medals, and seven Gold, 20 Silver and 38 Bronze Bauhinia Star recipients.

They are honoured for their significant contribution to Hong Kong or for their dedicated community service.

The two Grand Bauhinia Medal recipients are Lau Wong-fat and Chiang Chen.

Mr Lau is awarded the medal for his contribution to the promotion of rural affairs and district administration in the New Territories while Mr Chiang is awarded for his contribution to Hong Kong's industrial development.

The presentation ceremony is slated to be held in October.
