Political reform, cultural project CS' priority

*

Chief Secretary for Administration Rafael Hui says issues relating to constitutional reform and the West Kowloon Cultural District development top his agenda.

Speaking on his first day in office, Mr Hui said both projects have deadlines and must be dealt with in his two-year term.

He said lawmakers will publish a report on the cultural project this week, and views collected in the public consultation ending last week are being consolidated. The results will be made public and the project's way forward will be announced.

Mr Hui said he will meet with policy secretaries to better understand their work. He will also discuss with Chief Executive Donald Tsang and Financial Secretary Henry Tang the co-ordinating roles of the chief and financial secretaries.
