2 High Court Recorders reappointed
*

Edward Chan and Ronny Wong have been reappointed Court of First Instance Recorders for a three-year term from September 25.

 

Mr Chan, 54, graduated from the Hong Kong University Faculty of Law in 1972 and was called to the English Bar in 1974 and to the Hong Kong Bar a year later. He has been in private practice since 1975.

 

He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1989, and a Court of First Instance Recorder in 1995.

 

Mr Wong, 57, graduated from Hull University Faculty of Law in 1969. He was called to the English Bar in 1970, and to the Hong Kong Bar in 1973. He has been in private practice since 1970.

 

He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1990, and a Court of First Instance Recorder in 1995.
