Secretary for Education Eddie Ng says it is the Government’s top priority to help schools buy water filters, as supplies are limited.
Mr Ng told reporters today that some schools that already have water filters installed also want to double-check if their models can remove lead.
He noted that installing filters at schools is an immediate solution to the lead-tainted water problem, adding that the Government does not object to schools conducting their own water tests, but they should ensure the proper procedures are followed.
