The Police today strongly condemned adults who brought children to the unlawful assembly in Mong Kok, calling it an act that was extremely irresponsible and dangerous.
The force warned that some protesters are acting more and more radical, and that anyone who brings children to such a high-risk area puts their safety at risk if there is a confrontation, and that those parents or adults involved may have broken the law.
Officers appealed to parents to leave the scene with their children immediately, or appropriate action will be taken to protect the youngsters from unnecessary harm.
Police also urged those at the protest site to leave as soon as possible, while advising people to be aware of their own safety and avoid the area.
