The police will continue to remove illegal roadblocks, and will not allow protesters to set up barriers on re-opened roads, Police Public Relations Branch Chief Superintendent Steve Hui says.
During a press conference, Mr Hui said 45 people were arrested during a clearance exercise on Lung Wo Road last night, as protesters illegally occupied the road and tried to cross the police cordon line. Some police officers were injured during the action.
Regarding a complaint about the officers' inappropriate treatment when dispersing crowds, Mr Hui said the force is following up and welcomes relevant information from the media.
