Chief Executive CY Leung said tomorrow is not an appropriate time to host his question and answer session in the Legislative Council, and it will be rescheduled.
A spokesman for the CE's Office noted that there were several serious incidents involving protesters occupying Lung Wo Road, while there have also been calls for protesters to surround the LegCo complex tomorrow, so in light of these security risks, the decision was made to postpone the session.
Speaking to reporters today, Mr Leung said he did not wish to instigate large crowds gathering around the Legislative Council, blocking roads and disrupting traffic, which would affect the normal operations of the Central Government Offices nearby.
He added that it is standard practice for the Chief Executive to attend four Q&A sessions a year, and he is willing to carry out this duties at an appropriate time.
