Water quality inspections on 10 public housing estates are expected to be completed next week, Secretary for Transport & Housing Prof Anthony Cheung said today.
The Government announced on July 15 that it would carry out water checks at estates completed at around the same time as Kai Ching Estate, including nine public housing estates completed after 2013 and Kwai Luen Estate phase one.
Speaking to reporters after a radio programme this morning, Prof Cheung said the Government will consider expanding water tests to more housing estates after finishing checks at the 10 estates.
He added that the Government would look into the results of water tests conducted by some organisations on other housing estates and take appropriate follow-up action.
