One of two water samples collected from AEFCHK-EFCC-AGC Abundant Grace Nursery School in Tseung Kwan O has been found to exceed the World Health Organisation lead limit.
The Education Bureau today announced the water test results of another batch of kindergartens.
The tainted sample comes from the tap of a wall-mounted dispenser in the school kitchen and was found to contain 11 micrograms of lead per litre, which exceeds the WHO standard of 10.
The water in the dispenser was used for drinking by both staff and students. The Department of Health will arrange blood tests for 121 students.
The Government is testing the lead level of water samples from kindergartens as well as public and direct subsidy scheme schools built with government funding since 2005.
It has completed checks on 646 kindergartens and schools so far, with 637 passing the tests.
