The Health Department's lead enquiry hotline (2125 1122) will reduce its opening hours due to a low utilisation rate.

From tomorrow, the hotline will be open 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday and 9am to 1pm on Saturdays. Calls will be diverted to the Government hotline 1823 outside of these times.

The hotline received less than 10 enquiries a day in the past week, so adjusting its opening hours would be a better use of manpower, the department said.

     
As at 5pm today, the hotline received 7,786 enquiries and arranged 5,245 blood tests.
