The Centre for Health Protection is monitoring two additional Middle East Respiratory Syndrome cases reported by Korea.
According to Korea’s health authority, the two men are both aged 35. One is an in-patient hospitalised in the same hospital ward to which the first MERS case was admitted, and the other’s mother was also hospitalised in that ward.
To date, Korea has reported 14 MERS cases, and another case was exported from Korea to Mainland China.
