Traders can submit proofs under an established mechanism to facilitate clarification and timely amendment of the lard-affected traders’ list, the Centre for Food Safety says today.
The centre yesterday announced the list of traders who might have distributed or used lard products of Taiwan’s Chang Guann company, made on or after March 1.
Some individual traders, however, claimed that they had not used the affected products.
The centre advised them, through their respective importer or distributor, to submit requests for amendment with relevant transaction records such as invoices.
The centre may verify the case and amend the list accordingly.
