7 new H7N9 cases reported

The Centre for Health Protection yesterday received notification from Mainland health authorities of seven additional human cases of avian influenza A (H7N9).
 
The cases are in Shenzhen (three), Zhejiang (three) and Jiangsu (one), involving five men and two women, aged 39 to 76. All are in hospital.
 
The centre will follow up with Mainland health authorities for more details.
 
As of yesterday, a total of 211 H7N9 cases have been confirmed in the Mainland.
