Shenzhen H7N9 case reported

Guangdong authorities today notified the Centre for Health Protection of a human H7N9 case affecting a 38-year-old Shenzhen man.
 
He fell ill on December 9, and is in critical condition.
 
So far 144 H7N9 cases have been confirmed on the Mainland, including Zhejiang (51 cases), Shanghai (33), Jiangsu (28), Guangdong (six), Jiangxi (six), Fujian (five), Anhui (four), Henan (four), Beijing (two), Hunan (two), Shandong (two), and Hebei (one).
 
The centre will liaise with Mainland authorities on the issue.
