2 Mainland H7N9 cases reported

The Centre for Health Protection verified with the National Health & Family Planning Commission today one human case of avian influenza A (H7N9) in Hunan and Jiangxi.
The Hunan case involves a 64-year-old woman who is receiving treatment in hospital. Her 41 close contacts are asymptomatic so far.
The case in Jiangxi involves a 54-year-old man who is receiving treatment in hospital. His 51 close contacts are asymptomatic so far.
As of 9pm today, a total of 120 cases had been laboratory confirmed with avian influenza A (H7N9) in the Mainland, including Zhejiang (45 cases), Shanghai (33 cases), Jiangsu (27 cases), Anhui (four cases), Henan (four cases), Jiangxi (three cases), Beijing (one case), Shandong (one case), Fujian (one case) and Hunan (one case).
No human case of avian influenza A (H7N9) has been identified so far in Hong Kong.
