Woman negative for coronavirus
April 05, 2013
A 37-year-old woman hospitalised with severe respiratory symptoms has tested negative for novel coronavirus, the Department of Health announced today.
She travelled to Turkey and Dubai from March 24 to 31, and fell ill on April 1. She was put into an isolation ward at Queen Elizabeth Hospital and is now stable.
The department said no human infection with this virus has been identified so far in Hong Kong.
Travellers returning from novel coronavirus-affected countries with respiratory symptoms should wear facemasks, seek medical attention and reveal their travel history to doctors.
