Discussions on the co-location arrangement for the Hong Kong Section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link should focus on ways to fine-tune the plan.
Speaking to the media today, Acting Chief Executive Matthew Cheung said co-location is the only feasible option for the XRL’s passenger clearance arrangement, and the Government drew up its proposal after careful consideration.
Mr Cheung said the Government will work on implementing the arrangement and explaining it to the community.
He called on the public to discuss the plan in a pragmatic and objective manner with an aim to fine-tune it, rather than debating whether or not co-location should be implemented.
