Chief Secretary Carrie Lam has condemned the acts of people disturbing tourists and businesses, saying they damage Hong Kong’s business environment.
She was referring to demonstrations against parallel trading activities in recent weeks, during which protesters have also attacked passersby and damaged public property.
Mrs Lam said similar activities might be staged today, including at the Government House open day.
She said such acts will not be tolerated and Police will take resolute enforcement action.
