Woman arrested for illicit slimming products
*
Department of Health

A 43-year-old woman has been arrested for selling slimming products which contain undeclared western drug ingredients that can cause serious side effects.

In a joint operation by the Police and the Department of Health today, the woman was found selling USA Yaku Cell Slimming Capsules. She was also in possession of two boxes of other slimming products.

She was arrested for illegal sale and possession of a part-one poison and unregistered pharmaceutical products. More of the products were later seized at her home.

Preliminary investigations found the products were obtained from a Mainland website and offered for sale on a local auction website.
