Extension of stay applications go online
*
Immigration Department

Six categories of non-permanent Hong Kong residents can now submit applications for extension of stay via the Internet, the Immigration Department says.

They include:

* people admitted under the General Employment Policy, or their dependants;

* people admitted under the Admission Scheme for Mainland Talents & Professionals, or their dependants;

* people admitted under the Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates, or their dependants;

* people admitted under the Supplementary Labour Scheme;

* people on student status, or their dependants; or,

* dependants of Hong Kong permanent residents, or dependants of Hong Kong residents who are not subject to a limit of stay, that is, residents with the right to land or on unconditional stay.

Eligible applicants can click here to submit an application for extension of stay online, or for further information. They can still choose to submit applications in person or through an authorised person.
