Forty Junior Police Call members and leaders, as well as 57 school clubs and district councils were commended today for their outstanding contributions in organising and participating in community services, publicising fight-crime messages and promoting the JPC.

 

During today's Presentation Ceremony of the Hongkong Bank Foundation JPC Awards 2009, Police Public Relations Branch Chief Superintendent Ng Ka-sing said the call has more than 170,000 members including 700 non-Chinese.

 

Ravishankar Sukhwani from Mong Kok District was selected as the Best JPC Member, while Lai Kin-wah from Yau Tsim District was named the Best JPC Advanced Leader.

 

St Francis Xavier's College of Mong Kok District and the Po Leung Kuk Chong Kai-ching Primary School in Sha Tin District were named the Best JPC School Club in the secondary school and primary school categories. The Best JPC District Council award went to Mong Kok.
