Duo charged with trafficking ketamine

*
Customs & Excise Department

Customs officers yesterday charged a 37-year-old man and 24-year-old woman suspected of trafficking 43 grammes of ketamine with an estimated value of $5,000.

Officers stopped the couple at Sheung Fung Street Carpark in Wong Tai Sin, and found 15 packets of ketamine on the man. They found another packet of ketamine and some packing equipment in their premises.

Both were charged with trafficking in a dangerous drug and will appear at Kwun Tong Magistrates' Courts today.

The offence is liable to a maximum penalty of life imprisonment and a $5 million fine.
