Cocaine distribution centre shut down

*
Hong Kong Police

Police have shut down a cocaine distribution centre in Wan Chai, arresting a man and seizing more than 900g of the drug worth $1.2 million.

Officers intercepted the 41-year-old leaving a flat at 16 Tai Wong East Street at 5.30pm today and found 43g of cocaine in his possession.

Another 865g and packaging equipment were found in the flat, believed to be a packaging and storage centre supplying drugs to major entertainment premises on Hong Kong Island.

The man was arrested for drug trafficking and possession of drug manufacturing and packaging equipment. He is being detained for questioning.
