Driver arrested for killing senior

An elderly woman was killed and a driver arrested in a traffic accident in Sham Shui Po this morning.

 

The woman, 82, was crossing the road when she was knocked down by a van turning right onto Yee Kuk Street from Kweilin Street at around 9.40am. She sustained serious injuries and died at Princess Margaret Hospital at 2.30pm.

 

The 31-year-old was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and released on bail.
