Van strikes, kills senior in Wan Chai

An elderly woman died after she was struck by a van in Wan Chai this morning.

 

About 10.30am, a 37-year-old man was driving a van northbound on Spring Garden Lane. As he turned right onto Johnston Road eastbound, the van struck a woman, aged about 70 to 80.

 

The woman was sent to Queen Mary Hospital, where she was certified dead at 9.46pm.

 

Anyone who saw the accident or who has any information is asked to call the investigating officers on 3106 8800.
