A Mainland tourist has been jailed four months by Fanling Magistracy for bribing an immigration officer.
Wang Hongjie, 31, pleaded guilty to one count of offering an advantage to a public servant.
On December 18 she was stopped at Lok Ma Chau checkpoint by immigration staff upon her arrival in Hong Kong. She asked an officer twice to release her, offering money. The bribe attempt was reported by the officer to her superiors.
