Immigration Department

The Immigration Department has established contact with two Hong Kong residents injured in a car crash in Japan. The man and woman involved have been discharged from hospital.

The department contacted the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in Hong Kong and the Chinese Embassy in Japan for details on the accident.

The Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office (Tokyo) has also contacted Japanese police to learn more about the case.

The department will follow up the case and help the residents, arranging for their prompt return to Hong Kong.

Any Hong Kong residents who need assistance abroad can call (852) 1868.
