1 worker dead, 1 injured in Sha Tin crash

A 19-year-old van driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death after his van struck two road workers in Sha Tin, killing one of them.

 

At about 2pm today, the van travelling along the Shing Mun Tunnel towards Tsuen Wan. At the toll plaza, it struck two men, aged 54 and 55, who were working on the left lane.

 

The two were sent to Yan Chai Hospital, where the older man died at 2.43pm.

 

Anyone who saw the accident, or has any information, should call the Police on 3661 1346 or 3661 1300.
