5 arrested in drug seizure

Drugs seized in Yuen Long
Long haul: Police seized 162kg of cannabis, 17kg of methamphetamine and 10,000 ecstasy tablets.

Police have arrested five men, aged 29 to 50, seizing $36 million worth of drugs in Yuen Long.

 

Officers searched a container in a warehouse on Kung Um Road yesterday and found the drugs concealed inside sofas, including 162kg of cannabis, 17kg of methamphetamine and 10,000 ecstasy tablets.

 

Four of the men have been released on bail, while a 43-year-old man remains in custody.
