Michael Hartmann named Justice of Appeal
*

Court of First Instance Judge Justice Michael Hartmann has been appointed Justice of Appeal of the Court of Appeal from September 10.

 

His judicial service has been extended beyond his statutory retirement age for three years to July 2012.

 

The appointment and the judicial service extension have been made by the Chief Executive on the recommendation of the Judicial Officers Recommendation Commission.

 

Meanwhile Justice Andrew Cheung has been appointed judge in charge of the Constitutional & Administrative Law List of the High Court while Justice Johnson Lam will be the judge in charge of the Probate List.
