Senior hit by bus dies

Police are investigating a Yau Ma Tei traffic accident in which an 81-year-old woman was hit by a bus and died.

 

At about 3.45pm, a 54-year-old woman bus driver was travelling south along Nathan Road. The bus turned into Jordan Road where it struck the woman as she was crossing the road.

 

She was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where she was certified dead at 4.07pm.

 

The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and has been detained.
