Police issued 213 fixed penalty tickets, 3,692 summonses and 69 verbal warnings to motorists during a citywide safe-driving campaign June 30 to July 6.
The offences relate to speeding, failing to wear seatbelts, using mobile phones and failing to comply with traffic signals. A driver was also arrested for drink driving.
Police Regional Road Safety Teams visited 279 locations and distributed about 29,600 leaflets to drivers and the public.
