Food shop shut down for licence breach
*
Food & Environmental Hygiene Department

The Food & Environmental Hygiene Department has shut down a Yuen Long fresh provision shop for illicitly selling chilled and frozen poultry, seizing 16kgs of chilled duck and 116kgs of frozen chicken feet.

Officers raided the shop in Tin Yiu Estate Market, Tin Shui Wai, this morning. The shop was allegedly selling chilled and frozen poultry when it was only licensed to sell fresh poultry. A woman is being questioned over the matter.

Selling chilled and frozen poultry illicitly is a breach of the Food Business Regulation. The maximum penalty is a $50,000 fine and six months' jail.

Report the suspicious sale of poultry on 2868 0000.
