194 fined for traffic violations

Police have issued 194 fixed-penalty tickets and 163 summonses to motorists and pedestrians violating traffic regulations, and 240 fixed-penalty tickets for illegal parking.

 

Officers also verbally warned 150 pedestrians for jaywalking and 105 drivers for other minor traffic offences.

 

A total of 304 officers were deployed in the Kowloon East regional traffic day yesterday to enforce regulations at traffic accident blacksites and potential accident locations.

 

There were 350 traffic accidents in the region up to February.
