14,000 pirated disks seized
*
Customs & Excise Department

Customs officers have seized four computers and about 14,000 pirated optical disks worth $430,000, and arrested a 38-year-old man in Tsuen Wan in connection with the sale of copied Japanese and Korean TV dramas through an online auction site in Taiwan.

Inside a Tsuen Wan factory, officers found four computers connected to a Taiwanese online auction site, pirated disks of Japanese and Korean TV dramas, blank disks and packaging equipment.

The premises was believed to be a packaging and storage centre. The man was caught as he was about to mail the pirated disks at a post office.
