Thirty-five inmates of Pik Uk Correctional Institution were today presented with a total of 79 certificates in public examinations.

A local university has admitted one inmate with one 'A' and two 'B's in the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination.

Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society Chairman Wong Siu-sang said the inmates have proven they are capable of attaining good academic results.

He encouraged them to face challenges with perseverance and contribute to society upon their release.
