Heroes honored: Acting Commissioner of Police Gordon Fung commends Good Citizen Award winners.
*

Forty-one people have been given Good Citizen Awards for helping Police catch more than 50 suspects for wounding, robbery, deception, theft and public-decency offences.

Commending their vigilance and bravery, Acting Commissioner of Police Gordon Fung said the award highlights the importance of Police-community partnership in combating crime.

Choi Fu-cheung won the Good Citizen of the Year Award for helping Police arrest two of three men who attacked two jewellery traders with knives and robbed them of $3 million in jewellery near their Jordan office on June 23 last year.

Mr Choi was presented with a plaque and a cash award of $3,000. All other winners each received a certificate and $2,000.
