194 tickets issued in traffic day blitz

Hong Kong Police

Police issued 194 fixed-penalty tickets and 176 summonses to motorists and pedestrians who violated traffic regulations during the Kowloon East regional traffic day.

 

The operation, concluded at 11pm yesterday, sent 203 officers to enforce regulations at traffic black sites.

 

They also issued 155 fixed-penalty tickets for illegal parking and other parking offences.

 

They gave verbal warnings to 225 pedestrians and drivers for committing jaywalking and other minor traffic offences.

 

There were 1,500 traffic accidents in Kowloon East Region from January to August this year.
