Hong Kong Police

A 57-year-old man has been charged in connection with a spate of burglaries in 10 Kowloon East housing estates in June and July. He will appear in Kwun Tong Magistracy August 2.

Police arrested him on July 30 in Hing Wah Estate, Chai Wan.

He followed residents into the buildings, proceeded to one of the upper floors, cut the window frame in the corridor and climbed through it into the victims' flat.

About $100,000-worth of property was stolen.
