4 arrested for selling fake products

Customs officers have arrested four men for selling counterfeit mobile-phone batteries and accessories, seizing 4,600 items worth $130,000.

 

Officers raided a Sheung Shui retail shop on July 23 and seized 400 fake phone batteries and accessories worth $30,000. The proprietor and another man were arrested.

 

A wholesale company and its storage premises in Mong Kok and a packaging centre in Kwun Tong were raided yesterday, with 4,200 batteries and accessories worth $100,000 and some packaging equipment seized. Two directors of the company were arrested.
