Police probe murder-suicide

Hong Kong Police

Police are investigating a murder-suicide case in which a six-year-old girl and her 34-year-old father died in Pok Hong Estate in Sha Tin today.

Police received a report about 12.30am that the two were lying on the ground between Pok Yue House and Pok Wah House. The girl was certified dead at scene while the man was certified dead at Prince of Wales Hospital at 1.17am.

Police believe the man threw his six-year-old daughter out of the building before leaping to his own death.

The Sha Tin District Crime Squad is investigating. Post-mortem examinations will be held later.
