Correctional Services to recruit 300 officers

Troop review: Secretary for the Civil Service Denise Yue inspects Correctional Services graduates.

The Correctional Services Department will recruit more than 300 officers this financial year and create 70 new posts, Secretary for the Civil Service Denise Yue says.

 

Officiating at a passing-out parade at the department's Staff Training Institute today, Ms Yue encouraged the recruits to uphold the professionalism of the department and strive to improve custodial and rehabilitative services.

 

Thirty-one Officers and 102 Assistant Officers II completed basic training in the latest batch. Two top Officers were awarded the Principal's Shield and four top Assistant Officers II were awarded the Gold Whistle.
